Streamlining our commercial offering
From 1st August 2021 we will be implementing some important changes to the CommercialDW reports within the Wessex Water region. Most importantly to you, we will be decommissioning our Official Basic CommercialDW report.
Currently our Basic Commercial search can only be used for very small premises (under 100m2) and only one billing account can be used within the making of the report. As a result, many commercial transactions do not fit the brief for this report.
By decommissioning this report, we believe it will bring many benefits to you. These will include:
- Higher liability cover. The Basic Commercial search only provides £500,000 worth of liability cover. Whereas our Standard Commercial report includes liability cover of £2million and our Commercial Search Extra, £5million.
- Fewer queries. We understand that queries can be frustrating and cause delays. By no longer offering the Basic Commercial search this should reduce the number of queries we send where premises do not fit the requirements for this search e.g. they are too large or have multiple connections.
- More connections. Within the Basic Commercial report, we can only search one billing account. Whereas, with our other reports we can include up to 4 accounts.
- Trade effluent. Our Basic Commercial search does not provide information regarding trade effluent. However, our other two CommercialDW reports do.
We are always looking to improve our suite of searches and we know that this will be a positive step in helping us to deliver the most efficient service to you that we can.
