HOW DOES REVIEW WORK?

Analysing over 106 million data points, the Groundsure Review provides a detailed manual assessment of contaminated land risk, alongside a comprehensive review of all flood types, ground stability, radon, current and planned energy features, and transportation, planning constraints and optional 10 years of planning data.

A consultant will manually review high detail Ordnance Survey mapping to provide an expert opinion and are on hand to answer any questions you may have about the findings within the Review report.

It also clearly identifies potential forward climate risk impacts to the property within the ClimateIndex™ model, supporting your ESG compliance through better client card advisory for potential climate impacts to the land or property. Key transition risks from climate change impacts that could affect property decisions are covered including property-specific EPC ratings for all properties contained within the boundary with a comparison to others in the area, EPC assessor recommendations for energy improvements, guidance on commercial Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) and existing and proposed Net Zero goal policy changes.

WHAT DOES REVIEW REVEAL?

Designed to streamline workflows, enabling smart and faster decisions and saving time, it reveals:

  • Comprehensive contaminated land assessment based including Groundsure’s National Brownfield Risk Model (NBRM), environmental permits, active and historic landfill and waste sites, and current industrial sites
  • Review of ongoing contamination risk at the site
  • Details on whether the site represents acceptable banking security from an environmental risk perspective
  • Detailed flood risk assessment covering river, coastal and surface water flooding, and historic flood events. Higher flood risk results are manually assessed. Tailored advice is provided using Ordnance Survey NGD data in the presence of basements.
  • Natural and non-natural ground stability screening including natural ground subsidence, cavities and non-coal mining
